VorigeHardere approach smoking affects dozens of cafes

Until now, "around one percent" of the Dutch oppose the inclusion of his medical records in the electronic patient file. "That was our estimate", said Minister of Health Ab Klink (CDA) Sunday in Buitenhof.

Klink late last month sent a letter to all Dutch patients about the dossier. Who does not want his information is exchanged, an object attached form back. That must be before December 15, but Klink said that people always can object to the whole file or parts thereof. Moreover, everyone has a letter if the actual file on the system is connected.

Klink a week ago urged hospitals to information about patients quickly better protected. The Inspectorate for Health Care (IGZ) and the College Personal Protection (CBP) concluded that none of the twenty hospitals under investigation meets the standard for information security. The hospitals argue that the security they have better organized than the IGZ and CBP do occur.

If doctors and hospitals will soon be obliged to join the electronic patient records, patients from outside can also log in to their data to see. They can express their general practitioner, said Klink.
