The driving test is from March 1, 2009 officially extended with the threat. That is Reflector, the magazine for the Driving instruction from the Central Bureau Rijvaardigheidsbewijzen (CBR).
The part where the theory exam has been expanded with 25 questions about awareness, was already unofficially on January 1 partly added to the exam. From March 1, the results of these questions count for the exam.
The arrival of this new exam is not a luxury, but necessary, says exam development manager Theo van Rijt in the magazine.
"As professionals we are inclined to candidates the traffic and technical skills at the highest possible level to make. Nevertheless, the number of accidents among beginning drivers in the first six months after the license is unacceptably high."
